As of July 2022, the IdeasTrain vision becomes reality in Südostbayernbahn's operations

One thing never changes: real life is the best test of all. With this in mind, we decided to incorporate as many of the IdeasTrain's features as possible in a real double-deck wagon.

We are working with our client, Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft , and other Group companies to revolutionise local and regional transport. Our goal is to create new on-train features that address customers' needs and make their time on board as enjoyable as possible. This wagon's different areas and their features are on display here.

    Office

    Turning travel time into working time is the idea behind this theme area. The secluded office cabin provides the peace and comfort you need to concentrate on your work. You can connect the large screen to your own device to make your tasks easier.

    Comfort

    The comfort area provides a first-class experience. It offers a host of attractive features that are guaranteed to maximise the relaxing side of travel. Enjoy the flexibility of your adjustable seat and take the opportunity to read a newspaper or use the table to serve up a tasty snack.

    We are using this area to test our new seating solutions. These are designed in such a way that they mould themselves to your body for maximum comfort.

    Everyone's welcome

     The inviting design is perfect for talking to other passengers or finding out what's happening in the world via the nearby screen. The seating resemble barstools, another touch that adds to the atmosphere.

    Compartment

    A rail travel classic, reinterpreted: anyone familiar with older trains will take one look at this feature and be reminded of many a past journey. The open compartment is intended as a cosy spot for small groups or passengers travelling alone.

    Whether you're travelling with friends, family or your school peers, your group has all the space it needs here. Train travel is a wonderful way to spend time with people, and we've created the perfect kind of seating for this.

    Travelling by train with your family can be a fantastic experience in the right surroundings. In this area, we've included a big table with a jolly surface that's perfect for playful little passengers. We've added some hooks so everyone has space to hang up their coats and get down to the serious business of playing.

    Door area

    The redesigned entrance now includes screens that enhance not just its appearance but also its functions: you can now see information about the train's route. This door area makes a great impression as you board our train.
