neomind not only developed the first Ideenzug model - the IdeenzugRegio - but also the IdeenzugCity. Thanks to our close collaboration together with DB, Passengers, Stakeholders and a wide variety of partners we had the chance to shape the whole process of development and to create and design all twelve modules. By applying design thinking methods we made research, analyzed and defined the problems that needed to be solved, followed a process of ideation and testing together with passengers and finally designed and managed the realization together with our partners from a wide range of industries.

Bike energy is the company behind the Ideas Train's charging points for e-bikes. They are located in the bicycle storage area near the train doors.

bluleu came up with a completely new lighting system for the Ideas Train, with the goal of ensuring that passengers receive a suitable welcome the moment they board the train. Large lighting fixtures around the carriage doors guide travellers to available seats and create a very pleasant atmosphere during the journey.

brainLight's creation turns travelling on the Ideas Train into a very special experience. Designed to make the atmosphere on board as relaxing as possible, the sophisticated audio-visual system uses lighting and sounds to help passengers relax mentally. The company also designed a shiatsu massage chair, which relaxes the occupant's muscles from their shoulders to their feet.

As a company specialising in breathable fabric for upholstery, Climatex contributed to the Ideas Train by producing an outstanding type of cloth for covering seats in premium class.

The sound specialists at Comevis came up with a host of proposals for the Ideas Train, making sure passengers can enjoy a holistic experience in the relaxation section, the on-board gym and the big screen area.

EA-Sports is the sponsor of the gaming area, with its exciting FIFA18 and NBA18 games.

All kinds of people use trains, so EventTender developed three catering modules to satisfy a wide array of expectations. For example, the range of beverages includes soft drinks, speciality coffees and beer on tap.

ELeather is the pioneer of sustainable engineered leather.

Its revolutionary process transforms leather into advanced materials while achieving a significantly lower environmental footprint.

ELeather partnered closely with the IDEASTRAIN TEAM, including their designers, to ensure each individual module that featured our material was elegantly styled and inherently comfortable for the passenger. At the same time, it was critical to ensure the upholstery offered unbeatable durability as well as an easy to clean and easy to maintain finish.

Throughout the design phases, ELeather supported in bespoke colour and grain development to match the exact desired interior atmosphere for the customer.

Flachglas supplied all of the glass features for the Ideas Train. The company's product portfolio includes curved panorama windows on the top floor, glass dividing walls and the sides of the workout booth.

FLT created innovative lighting solutions using flexible, luminous fabric. These form bands of light in the family and kids' section of the Ideas Train, a unique feature that makes the on-board experience even more enjoyable. Illuminated headrests show passengers which seats are reserved and which ones are still available.

FunderMax is responsible for the look of all internal surfaces, from the wall claddings to the bistro table in the big screen area.

Specialising in designing toys and furniture for children, HABA created the kids' area in the Ideas Train. It combines a host of playtime activities, making sure that the train's youngest passengers are in for a real treat.

INNOVAMAXX designed two modern exercise bikes for the Ideas Train's on-board gym, giving fitness fans the chance to work out when travelling.

Kiel takes its responsibility for the environment into account through innovative developments and the use of recyclable materials.

As a business partner for the entire ticketing process and all service offerings, krauth technology brought many years of experience in fare and operations management to the project. The company provided two machines (one inside the train, the other outside it at event locations) complete with new background software to form a be-in/be-out system, and it also created an app that streamlines the booking process. Passengers can buy tickets and other services either with a chip card at the machine or in the app, which can also be used for the online check-in process. On board the Ideas Train, passengers can use NFC tags to access certain features, such as the sport booth.

Dutch company KROV mounted handy tables on the walls of the Ideas Train. With room for cups and other items, passengers can use them just the way they want.

The top-quality metal components in the service area and the MyCabin personal booth were produced by the company KUGEL Edelstahl. Their hallmark: excellent workmanship combined with visual appeal. The company also designed the Ideas Train's area for making phone calls.

OSG develops unique glass compositions and moldings to meet specific requirements such as weight reduction, heavy impact survival and increased safety. These products include windshields for high-speed locomotives, lightweight compositions that enable glazing weight reduction of up to 40%, or anti-vandal solutions to protect passengers and personnel. Glazing can be equipped with anti-reflective coatings or IR-proof glass.

The Ideas Train's sleek exterior and attractively designed glass partitions come courtesy of the experts at trispel rail [de] sign. The company produced a range of high-quality films that add another appealing note to the train's exterior and ensure that the design of its internal features, such as the workout booth, is so successful.

SBF developed an impressive, innovative ceiling with integrated lighting for a range of areas, such as the multi-function and big screen sections. The ceiling panels' unique feature is a specially designed sheeting. Translucent at different, cleverly placed sections of the ceiling, it helps generate a completely new kind of interior space.

Based in Switzerland, SSC installed specially manufactured noise reduction features in the Ideas Train. Using of a special type of foam, they are integrated into the walls of the lounge area.

Schüschke produced the specially designed waste container in the service section. It is fitted with sensors so it can be used without touching: the lid opens when you move your hand over the bin.

The new-style folding seats in the multi-purpose area are designed by the innovative people at sediasystems. With their wood finish, the seats have an eye-catching appearance and they are also extremely comfortable.

Three walls in the relaxation and comfort areas have been covered with preserved moss from styleGREEN. The plant decor doesn't need any further care and remains green and fresh for a long time.
